The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk was a fighter and ground attack aircraft used by most Allied powers during WWII. Only out-produced by the P-51 Mustang and the P-47 Thunderbolt, the Warhawk was the third highest produced American fighter aircraft with 13,738 built. The P-40 Warhawk was known for its low cost and ability to withstand heavy damage while continuing to fight.
